Hi, One of my friends' mother is low/no income senior. She lives in the senior department alone, gets MediCal (MediCard?) benefits and gets money from the government for living expense. My friend try to buy the life insurance for her mother. So, she will get money after her mother pass away. As we know, the life insurance is very expensive for the senior. Is this legal? My friend has money to pay insurance company but no money to support her mother. I think she is using the tax payers' money! I like to know what is your opinion in this case. Thanks!

Is it harmful go have a lapse in coverage for a week or two (hoping of course that there are no accidents during this time). Both cars are financed and the finance companies require insurance as well... How bad will this screw me up? Has this happened to anyone? What did you do? Any advice would be great, and please don't tell me to just pay the bill, because I can't right now and it really sucks. I hate being broke.

My girlfriends car was hit by a hit and run driver in the state of California. The driver of the vehicle that hit her bailed from their car and fled the scene of the accident. The vehicle was not reported stolen however we are not sure at this time who was actually driving the vehicle. When the police arrived on scene they did retrieve the insurance information from the vehicle. My question is whos insurance covers this accident? will it be claimed against our uninsured motorist on our policy? though I know that uninsured motorist does not cover vehicular damage when the driver has not been positivley I.D'ed OR does the vehicle owners uninsured motorist coverage hit us as they are liable for damages caused by their vehicle? I'm really not exactly sure of how any of this works so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Seventeen in a couple of months, and naturally want a car. I know I am going to have to get something small and low-powered, because I am a male and live in a part of England usually on fire. I also know what the insurance criteria are (Age, Where you live, where the car is parked, what you use it for, how often you use it etc..)
